MOM |
Are you grieving a wonderful mom you recently lost?
|
This Mother’s Day, get the support you need to thrive.
You know how it should be.
We are supposed to view this holiday with excitement, a chance to highlight the person who has continually given us everything and helped to craft us into the awesome people we are. We have visions of creative gifts we buy or make, poignant cards we craft, meals we organize, teas we prepare, and most importantly cherished time spent together...all to celebrate MOM. This is the Hallmark version of Mother’s Day, and if you are lucky to enjoy that version, slap that one down on your nightly gratitude list. But if you are one of the millions that struggle on this particular day, you are not alone. Mother’s Day can remind you of the special mother you have lost and make your grief come back in overwhelming force. Or it can be a agonizing reminder that this Hallmark Mother getting all the attention is a far cry from the mother you were given. Perhaps your mother wasn’t nurturing, or kind, or loving, and nothing you would want to celebrate. Maybe your mother is simply complicated, and your relationship a confusing one to understand, much less honor.
If this sounds like you, help is here. Dr. Jenn at The Rose Center for Learning is offering one hour sessions for $40 on Friday, May 10th. Schedule a session to see how she can help you manage, and even enjoy this Mother’s Day. Don’t delay!
